Written by dr kay ijisesan The Righteous Nature (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Righteousness is not an act. It is a nature. Righteousness is also the ability to stand before God without a sense of guilt or inferiority complex. Righteousness gives you access to God and audience before Him. Righteousness is the opposite of sin- consciousness. The New Creation was made righteous at new birth. There is only one standard of righteousness. You therefore cannot be anymore righteous than you are now. You are as righteous as Jesus. You dont work for righteousness. Righteousness is a gift. A gift cannot be earned, it is given. Throughout the Old Testament, men tried to become righteous through their works. They failed to meet Gods standards for righteousness. God described their righteousness as filthy rags. In the New Testament, Jesus paid the price for you to be made righteous freely. You have the nature that enables you to commune with God freely. Dont let a consciousness of guilt or sin rob you of this right. The enemy will try to bring up your past in an attempt to get you sin-conscious instead of righteous-conscious. Righteousness gives you a standing over the devil, demons and every power of the enemy. It positions you to stand confidently before men. It supplies the capacity that qualifies you for dominion on earth. Embrace your new nature of righteousness. It is Gods gift for your dominion on earth.
