Wrong Direction -- PETscan results are in.... Six months ago Scotts areas of cancer had shrunk by over 50%, which was very encouraging! But this time around they had grown, plus there are several new areas. (boo hiss) However… this is a very slow-growing cancer, so the oncologist recommends wait and see for 3 months. Then well do another scan, and possibly bring out some bigger guns if needed. Thankfully there are some very promising options available! Hell probably go with a combination of Rituxan and a chemo drug called Bendamustine, trade name Treanda. This is new in recent years, and specifically formulated to attack slow-growing cancers like Scotts lymphoma. That wasnt the news we were hoping for, but it certainly could have been a lot worse! So for now, were VERY grateful Scott feels fine and has no symptoms. And also grateful for all of you who love and support us. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
