Wrote a song a while back that birthed from a sense of isolation I sometimes get in certain social settings. I am unapologetically ignorant of many things pop culture related, and can quickly become a part of scenery with no conversational input when such topics are brought up. In a moment of abovementioned introversion, the lyrics came leaking from me like a sieve, and they poured on the page with relative ease. They express the feelings of anyone who feels alien and out of place; a real-life actor of sorts who always plays the part of the everyday normal to blend in, all while feeling hollow every second in doing so. The song took a complete personified form when my favorite actor, Robin Williams committed suicide several weeks back. I was fortunate to dedicate Foreign to the late Mr. Williams this past weekend in Tampa and here is the footage. If you are you are out there and feel isolated and as if there is little to no hope for you, take heart. You arent the only alien in the world. :)
