Wrote something, thought Id share. Burden of the Warrior: Metal is not heavier than responsibility, Knew the warrior all too well. Swords drawn with a sibilant ring, Is it the world which needs his help? Perhaps he fights for the ones he loves, Or to feel fear to feel alive. To hear his hearts heavy thuds, Which resound when clashing blades grind. The land has fallen into chaos since, Fractured among many Warlords. Gathering armies of men like him, Who arrive to battlefields by the horde. They dont fight for the same things though, Walking at pace when told to march. Not feeling the pulse of battle in their throat, Killing to them is not an art. Atop a mass of corpses, Standing with a crown of bones. Soul spilled across the dirt, From the things that he has shown. His body feels heavier than his blades, Perhaps they now carry him. To bury his fallen friends in graves, The burden of the warrior now begins.
