The Tale of Two Trees Every December we put up out trees We hang decorations upon its leaves But do you know of the tree with no leaves The one atop Mount Calvary At its base no beautiful skirt Just a backfilled hole of rocks and dirt No ornaments with hooks upon its limbs Just three iron nails which they drove thru Him No star atop the tree did adorn Only a bloody Saviours head with a crown of thorns No message of love and blessing to you Just a tattered sign mocking King of the Jews Your Christmas tree bears gifts of love But Calvarys tree brought a gift from God above A priceless gift of life eternal A pardon from torment in Hells inferno A wooden structure of pain and misery Brought forth the Hope for You and Me So during this time of celebration Remember Christ was born and has died For ALL to recieve Salvation! John 3:16 For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
