WrrRRaaAAAHHH! I feel so flippen vindicated right now! :D All started last week, think it was Wednesday or Thursday. Saw my wife pouring over the laundry hard at work and wanted to sprinkle a little sugar on it while she was between loads. So I got out the vacuum and proceeded to give our dryer a deep cleaning. After deep into the filter vent I proceeded to go one step further and try to conquer the lint that was clogging up the vent holes in the very back. Finding the vacuum wasnt sufficient to suck the blanket of lint behind the metal plate, I thought I’d simply loosen the three star bolt holding it in place. That’s when I heard a kerplunk. The barrel had come loose itself. Now the screws wouldnt go back in! It was off kilter and I couldnt get it back. My dryer conquered me. For a week I kept putting it off, being to tired after work, or the kids in the way, or this or that, you know ;) Finally today was the day I ran out of excuses and there was ’nothing to it, but to do it.’ A line I have learned to dread, but is my call to arms. Dragged it out in the kitchen with my handtruck that also provided enough clearance when laid down to protect the vent spouting out of the dryer (one of my other excuses) Lined everything up, screwed it in, and presto! Works like nothing ever happened! WOOOooooOOT! (y) Can I getta atta’ boy??!!! :D
