Wx discussion thread for July 3, 2014 Special Weather Statements issued for July 3, 2014: Severe thunderstorms likely in Central and Northern Alberta tomorrow. A trough of low pressure will trigger widespread thunderstorms as it moves through Central and Northern Alberta on Thursday. Thunderstorms are expected to develop along the foothills in the early afternoon and move east, lasting late into the evening. There is still uncertainty with regard to the exact location of the most severe storms.
