Xbox VP Marc Whitten recently sat down with Major Nelson for a podcast interview. Some interesting new tidbits were revealed about the Xbox One development. According to Whitten, the new super-console just entered into its final beta development phase for fine tuning and tweaking. Some lucky Microsoft employees get to actually test the devices in their homes. During this phase they have made some improvements. For one, they increased the Xbox One GPU clock speed from 800 MHZ to 853 MHz. Two, they have also been able to craft a new graphics "mono driver," which is 100% optimized for the Xbox One hardware now.
