YALL THOUGHT I FORGOT!!!!! Well I did but now I remembered so shut up!... Sunday night at Jus Will presents: B.YOND Music we had an amazing night. Although our featured poet double booked on us and 2 other poets canceled for various reasons (prayers went out to Imani Michele) we still rocked the house like its supposed to be ROCKED. Our band, The JazzMen ( Michael A Scott, Eugene Strader, and guest keyboardist Roderick, filling in for Arthur Cantrell Jr) set the tone as they always do by giving us a reason to love good music. Our first poet of the evening Scott E Servoss aka Seve gave us an intricate tale about a relationship gone sour. YA MOTHER lol Next up to the mic was a new but regular on the scene, Tha Truf. Tha Truf aka Patrice Austin blessed us with 3 pieces ranging from puttin the side chic in check to gettin a lil lovin. Always a pleasure. After the intermission we brought up Juan So-simple Burnett and his performance was anything BUT simple. This brotha brought his A game and took poetry to another lever with props, and even a piece that he performed with the band. All 3 joints were moving and had us in awe. The final poet for the night was UnWritten Linez and she also shut it down with 3 joints and explained why you never wanna be on the other side of a poets pen. Our vocalist for the night was Derrick D Williams and he took command of the NIGHT! He sang 5 incredible songs as well as was slightly distracted by a visit from his surprise guests, Jonathan Chase and Andre Hall, both from Tyler Perrys Love Thy Neighbor YEP IT HAPPENED.
