YB Datuk Mary Yap, Deputy Education Minister of Malaysia working - TopicsExpress

YB Datuk Mary Yap, Deputy Education Minister of Malaysia working visit to Sekolah Chung Hua Primary 6, Kuching. Amazing achievement for CHPS 6 in co-curriculum and great improvement in academy. YB Minister challenges for Band1. Significant amount of funding for infrastructure development which the local Chinese Community, the Parents-Teachers had worked very hard to raise the amount. MOE will need to help more for schools in Sarawak as we need to have the same benefits as the other Malaysians on the peninsular. These type of Chinese Primary schools are not for Malaysian Chinese only. The students in CUPS 6 is a testimonial of multiracial in nature. Urbanisation means we will have to relocate more Chinese Primary School with low enrolment to cater the urban growth. School board, MOE and community will need to synchronise and work together. While we plan for more Chinese Primary School, we also had to look at the projection on significant decrease in birth rate, hence student numbers in the next 10 years (dont over build schools). Thank you YB Datuk Mary Yap for turn padang and for addressing the issues face by the school.
