YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: Mt.5:14-16. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on the hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and it giveth unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven. Ps.27:1. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Acts.26:18. The very moment a sinner gets converted he is turned from darkness unto light. He receives the light of Christ in him. All darkness of sin and unrighteousness are all take away. He becomes a new creature old things passes away all things becomes new. 2Cor.5:17. Now as a child of God, you are the light of the world; therefore the Lord expects you to shine the light of righteousness and truth to all around you. The Lord said ye are the light of the world, not that we will be but we are now. The very moments you turn to the Lord in genuine repent and your sins are forgiving you by faith you become the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill that cannot be hid that means our Christian life is not a hidden thing. The world is in darkness, they live in darkness. The most educated enlightened person in the world if he or she is not born again is in darkness and cannot see afar off. The believers are to shine the light for them to see. There are a lot of people groping in darkness not knowing the way to joy and satisfaction. They do not know the way into righteousness that is why we need to go to them with the gospel light so as to show them the way to the Saviour. Let your light shine before men so they will see your good works and glorify your father who is in heaven. Isaiah.60:1-3 ARISE, SHINE; for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold the darkness shall cover the earth, gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon thee; and His glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Philip.2:14-15. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God without rebuke in the midst of crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. The most effective way of shining the light is by the life we live. This is shown in our obedient to the word of God and commitment to doing the will of God in all things and at all times. We must live a life of holiness and righteousness, a life that is above reproach. LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN. MT.5:16. IS YOUR LIGHT A SHINNING LIGHT OR DIM LIGHT? DO MEN PRAISE GOD FOR YOUR LIFESTYLE OR BLASPHEME HIM BECAUSE OF YOU?
