A preliminary review of your academic record indicates that you may be eligible to join the Honors Program at Rio Salado College. Students who have accumulated at least 12 credit hours and have a Maricopa cumulative GPA of 3.25 and higher may be eligible to participate in the Honors Program. Honors scholars at Rio Salado exemplify the highest standards for academic excellence. We have a community that works together to promote success. Upon successful completion of an Honors course each term, certified Honors Scholars receive a partial fee waiver in an amount from $81 to $325 proportional to the number of total credits completed. Honors Scholars also receive invitations to apply for prestigious local and national scholarships, tickets to the Phoenix Art Museum and the Phoenix Symphony (on a limited basis), receptions, and sometimes travel to showcase academic accomplishments. Our honors students have an excellent record of success at ASU’s Barrett Honors College and other four-year honors programs throughout the country. Honors can also be an enriching experience for non-transfer students.
