YES TO LEFT PICTURE; NO TO RIGHT PICTURE When Doc worked in college he worked as a night watchman at a Pittsburgh Plate Glass company factory that made linseed oil from flax(left picture) Next it was a flour mill where he also worked at which grounded wheat into flour. Where there he got to know a bunch of workmen that ate steak tartare everyday with some linseed oil rubbed on it. They also put steak tartare on salads and bread for sandwiches. Since these men were farmers as well, the beef came from their farms where they were fed hay and the ground flax after the oil was removed as well as some of the oil. These cattle also lived in the pasture. It is not surprising these men are still alive because they were eating healthy beef, flax seed oil, lignans and raw meat. This is about as healthy as one can eat. See it is not that beef is bad for you but only the beef feed in feed lots, corn, wheat, antibiotics, hormones, other sources of cheap protein and carbohydrates. What the animal or fish ate makes all the difference not whether it was turkey, pork, chicken, fish, beef, or bear. Also critical is the less cooking the better, as glycolation occurs vitamins are destroyed, aminoacids are destroyed. The only grain you should eat is flax. Everything the human body needs that it does not make itself comes from plants, animals or fish might concentrate these vitamins. However given its own choice, animals and fish will eat healthy but in our commercial food chain, they are not given a choice, but you have a choice. Eat Healthy! DOC
