YET ANOTHER Dave Distant Early Warning: Beware, in every sense of the word, former vice presidential candidate & Tea Party whacko Paul Ryan, and his pending Poverty Plan currently before Congress. It is the most fascist, neo-Nazi plank of insufferable legislation to ever appear on the American horizon since World War II: In it, Ryan (not so boldly) proposes the federal government REQUIRE all poor people in America to sign life contracts in which they submit to various draconian sanctions, tests & prohibitions, based merely upon their (low) income and participation in various in-need programs. If you need Ole Dave to spell it out, I still know my political ABCs: You CANT force one set of American citizens to submit to an array of laws which does NOT apply to a second set of similar Americans. That would tend to rip asunder that most controversial cornerstone of our country called the 14th Amendment, & its beautifully embedded equal protection clause.
