....YEY, at last, caught my Mum fiddling with British Rail Tickets a moment ago - how do I know what they look like you may well ask? I am Mums Guide Dog Willow, I know everything. Well, I have guided Mum off the bus 2 times recently and gone under the noisy bridge and then up over the high bouncy bridge and down the hill to enter the Colchester North Station Ticket Office! I got quite grumpy queuing to buy tickets & not travel on the train straightaway, but did as Mum asked, and exited the station to the big noisy bridges to catch the bus again but in opposite direction to the shops & bank in the Colchester Town Centre. Weve been ultra busy all this week going to many places & shops in town and Mum has been very careful & carried my doggy water bottle on her as the weather has got hotter each day & I had to negotiate all the pavement works in High Street for a 3rd time this week & deviate off route to get back on track to access our shops OK. The streets are busy too & I found Mum the Hotter Shop - huh, as if it was not hot enough already! I did my clever part & found the counter in Hotter & sat next to it, so Mum could get help. I laid on the floor whilst she sat on a sofa & a lady handed my Mum some nice leather smelling shoes to try on - I then guided my Mum in-harness up & down so she could test her new shoes properly, then showed her the sofa seat again! I must have impressed as Mum got money off her new shoes and lots of people in the busy but air-conditioned cool Hotter Shop were admiring my skills! So, Mum may be wearing her new shoes on our very long journey by local bus then 2 trains via London Liverpool Street Station tomorrow to Enfield Town Station & then back again in early evening. I will chill out & snooze at our destination as Mum enjoys, and me of course, a long-awaited re- union & catch-up with her sister (who normally lives in Tokyo, Japan) and other family members who can make the special invite. Trust Mum, to also choose the hottest day yet to come when temperatures could soar to 30 degrees F tomorrow (17 July) - mind you she will take good care of me & hopefully all the trains on the 3 hour journey outbound will have the air-con blowing onto my black furry coat! So exciting to travel in so many different places with my Mum and I have already undertaken this journey many times before - I wonder if the cat still lives in the flat next door? Ha ha.
