YOGA FOR RUNNERS WORKSHOP with Holly Flood. Date: Saturday, May 31, 1-3 p.m. Improve your running, increase strength, flexibility, mental focus, and reduce injury with this workshop geared specifically towards runners. During this 2 hour workshop, you will learn poses that will strengthen and lengthen your muscles, improve your flexibility, and relax your mind. We will focus on troublesome areas for runners including hamstrings, hips, and quadriceps, and work on developing core strength and breathing techniques. We will explore yoga poses and modifications specifically geared towards the needs of runners, discuss how and why you should incorporate yoga into your training program, lead you through and provide you with a sequence designed specifically for runners, and answer your questions about yoga and running.
