YORKE REACH FINAL OF WILSON Super athlete Yorke Carstens put up a spectacular performance and overcame windy conditions on Saturday losing in the final of the Wilson Juniors, beating his club mate Tevin Goodwin en route in the semis. Both players have already qualified for the year-end masters. The two players have grown in popularity on the circuit drawing crowds where ever they appear with their display of skill, and this time was no exception. Other MPTC players competing were Leo Matthysen, Mikaeel Woodman, Aqeelah Joubert and the Hugo brothers Sagen and Kyler, all appearing in the 10s and under. 7- Year old Sagen was playing in his first Wilson, a player to watch next year. Kyler and Mikaeel are growing stronger, each with their own distinctinctive style. After an absence of 10 months Aqeelah returned to compete in the u-9 section winning 2 of her 4 matches. As a 7-year old she was blown away in the u-10 section last year, but is now back with renewed vigour.
