YOU.......ARISE. 14 September 2012 at 18:14 ARISE, EAT AND DRINK There’s a contradiction we will encounter as we try to reminisce on what the angel told Elijah, when he said to him, “Arise”, and remember our sincere, heartfelt prayer each time we cry out, “Lord, lift me up and let me stand…”. How possible is it that each time I pray; “Lord, lift me up”, He responds; “Arise”. I ask Him to lift me up because I think I can’t get up, yet He softly answers by saying “Arise”. Dear Lord! If I could get up, I wouldn’t have asked for your help, or could it be that I am missing something out here? Here’s what I found out; “God helps those who cannot help themselves, He doesn’t help those who will not help themselves”. Please understand that by this, I do not mean that man could help himself in an absolute sense, but that man ought to show the desire and determination to take responsibility for his growth and development. Man ought to reposition himself into a position where God’s mercy and grace can reach him. Like He did with Elijah, He will serve the meal that will give you the strength to move higher and further, but YOU HAVE GOT TO “ARISE AND EAT”. As a matter of fact, you really can’t say you have faith in God for whatever you ask for if you do not show it by taking steps. You remember; “works prompted by faith” (1 thess 1:3 NIV). Dearly beloved, God is faithful, He’ll serve the meal. You…….ARISE.
