“YOU CAN NOT FENCE IT IN” In the village of Kamakura in Japan - TopicsExpress

“YOU CAN NOT FENCE IT IN” In the village of Kamakura in Japan is the monumental outdoor bronze statue of the “Big Buddha.” It is nearly as high as a five story building and weighs approximately 93 tons. It has been sitting there for 700 years and to this day not a single person has found God there. In Shirdi, India is the tomb of Sri Sai Baba. Above the tomb stands his statue. Here, his worshipers address their heartfelt prayers, beg for his help, give him thanks and sing their devotion to him. To this day not a single person has found God there. Hinduism, which has some 950 million followers, is a wide spectrum of laws based on the notion of karma and reincarnation. Among its 950 million followers not a single person has found God there. Islam claims an estimated 1.8 billion followers. About 23% of all people on earth follow Islam. Its rapid growth is about to make it the number one religion in the world ahead of Christianity. But not a single person has found God in Islam. Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, Evolution, astrology, transcendental meditation, they all have one thing in common: they deny the Deity, the Sovereignty, and the Holiness of God. Some denying even His very existence. Above our country’s top court (the Supreme Court) are sculptures of 18 different figures whom these august judges consider as being men who have made great contributions to our nation. Included among them is Mohammed. The sculpture, which has been part of the building since it opened in 1935, shows him holding a Koran in his left hand and a sword in his right. The court defended the statue ruling that the good things about Mohammed outweighed the bad....Where is the Cross? Jesus said in no uncertain terms that no person anywhere in the world can find God except through Him (John 14:6). There is but one way to God and that way is through the Cross of Jesus Christ with repentance and faith. “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). 51 years ago a Russian astronaut went into space and orbited the earth. When he returned he said apathetically “I looked everywhere up there for God but I could not find Him.” The Bible declares that those who truly seek God WILL find Him. Jeremiah 29:13 says “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” You see, the truth is this: There is only ONE true God! The Bible boldly declares that He is our Creator, our Lord, God Almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the only source of the water of life for all who thirst, in whom we live and breathe, and have our being. (Acts 17:28, Revelation 21:6) Nothing is more hated or more attacked in our world today than Christianity. We can put up all sorts of physical walls for the purpose of disallowing access to that which we do not want people to have. Our government can construct endless legislative walls against Christianity to keep God out, but listen - YOU CAN NOT FENCE IN THE CROSS! You can not fence in the heart. No man, no law, no government, no legislation, absolutely no power on earth can prevent the human heart from discovering true and everlasting peace with God when He is sought with the whole heart. Where, then, is the Cross? Wherever you find true happiness, wherever joy abounds, wherever hope springs eternal, wherever strength is found in weakness, wherever peace is found in chaos, wherever there is love, wherever there is mercy, wherever there is truth and compassion, wherever there is wisdom, wherever there is faithfulness, wherever there is holiness, wherever there is righteousness, wherever there is grace, wherever there is forgiveness, wherever there is Godly leadership, wherever there is a people who abide by the Word and principles of God, wherever there is a heart that has been given over to and belongs to Christ............THERE............IS THE CROSS!........It forever stands as the one and only way to God. You can not fence it in. God bless you, Mark Shutts
