YOUR FAMILIES GENES - THEY CAN AFFECT YOUR LIFE Have you ever stopped to wonder about the DNA of your family line? Have you ever looked at and pondered why you are the way you are and how all that came to be? Well, certainly God played a big part in it - your parents, and then their parents and then their parents and so on were a part of God’s plan. And sometimes when we look deeply into our “family genes” it can be a little scary - we see things we don’t want to admit; we may struggle through our lives in various situations because we don’t want to even imagine that things about us aren’t perfect. But God never promised us perfection when he made us - otherwise there would be no reason for heaven, the only perfect place where we will have perfect bodies and perfect minds! So, what can we do here on earth to help us understand the frailities we face? First we must turn to God and thank him for making us just how he wanted. Then we need to pray for God to enlighten us and guide us through our struggles and trials. He wants to help us with our problems - whether they are physical ailments, psychological problems, or whatever your “thorn” is. God is always there with us - so stop and reflect on that family line and ask God to show you what you need to do. Sometimes the answer is right in front of us, but we are too prideful to seek help. We all have issues, and everyones is different, so humble yourself and accept the challenges and seek to resolve them. Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
