YOUR POLITICIAN DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU: POINT l: For millions of middle class working Americans making less than $117,000 this year, Social Security receives $12.40 for every $100 of their earnings. For the million dollar wage earner, it’s $1.45 per $100 of earnings, and for 10 million dollar athlete or CEOs Social Security receives only 14 & ½ cents per $100 of their earnings. QUESTION: If you’re middle class, do you really think your politician gives a damn about you? POINT ll: Working Americans have overpaid their Social Security taxes by as much as 27% annually. Politicians took the piece of working American’s paychecks that was funding their payroll saving plans, and 401Ks, and diverted it to the Social Security trust fund, then spent it on something other than intended. Wonder why local financial institutions stopped funding business expansion, and new business startup loans that created jobs? Congress, by way of saving Social Security destroyed their local payroll savings pipeline. QUESTION: If your middle class, do you really think your politician gives a damn about you? POINT lll: You, and millions more like you kept your end of the 1983 Social Security reform bargain, making financial sacrifices in order to overpay your Social Security taxes by as much as 27% annually. Politicians made a different choice. Their choice was to renege on the deal, and spend your overpayments on something other than intended. Then to cover their butts, they created a new special obligation bond (SOB) debt, that puts you and millions more like you on the hook to pay again, that which you’ve already paid once. QUESTION: If your middle class, do you really think your politician gives a damn about you? FINAL POINT: Politicians say a rising tide lifts all boats, but if you’re a middle class American, all a rising tide has done is put the top of the water closer to the bottom of your nose.
