YOUR PREGNANCY IS OVERDUE…It is time to PUSH.... You don’t have to be a woman to appreciate the birthing process. Scripture uses metaphors of pregnancy, labor, and delivery to describe the human experience. In Romans 8:22-25, The Message version, the Apostle Paul observed: “All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.” God says creation is pregnant with the promise of His Kingdom, yet we rarely understand how to give birth to God’s will on earth. Just as a woman carries a child through pregnancy, we carry the seeds of heaven within us. We nurture those seeds as we study God’s Word and exercise our faith, but we give birth to God’s promises as we labour in prayer. Like childbirth, giving birth to new life and power in the Holy Spirit requires perseverance, strength, and determination. More than at any other time in history, we are on the threshold of global transformation. Heaven is pregnant with the fullness of all things. We are already desperately awaiting the next move of God. Yet, as God inquired through His prophet Isaiah, “Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once?” (Isaiah 66:8). God is looking for men and women who will embrace their destiny as “prophetic midwives”—who will give birth to His newness of life through prayer and perseverance. Could it be that while you are waiting for God to intervene, God is waiting for you to Persevere Until Success Happens (PUSH) through prayer? How is God birthing new life through you? When hardship comes, what many may perceive as a demonic attack, may very well be heaven’s contractions—a pressing from eternity into time; a birthing from the spiritual realm into the natural. What circumstances indicate that you might be “in labour” with His purpose for your family, ministry, government, company, country, or your community? Is it time to push?
