It will promote the distinctive arts of our locale. The project will culminate in an exhibition of Portrait art works. This contemporary portrait workshop will provide you with ideas to draw emotionally and to embrace the passion of who you are. The work starts with a photo of yourself or someone else who would like themselves being drawn and painted. Pam will guide you with the techniques she uses to draw a detailed sketch of yourself on paper with pencils, ink and perhaps charcoal. After the initial sketch is completed you will be adding collage elements such as painted papers focusing on colour, design and texture. You may also like to incorporate words or poems into your artwork. Background scenery will also be explored. All of these elements will add to the story you want to tell.
