********************* YOUTH DAY ******************** What a day!!!, what a day!!!...They came in ones and two;s threes and fours cars and vans at one stage a bus arrived but lucky enough it was tourists what a turn out with over 60 plus kids and there parents or guardians for this event. It began with the check in followed by a demo on what bait to use and how to unhook a fish and how to rig a rod, this demo was given by John Sheehan and Richard Rutland ( great stuff lads ) this was followed with a group photo before they headed for the shore. It was here the work began with rods been rigged and hooks been baited very easy with kids asking do mine first but we got there in the end thanks to the helpers we had. Out went the lines thanks to the fish gods fish came in yes flounder after flounder to the delight and huge smiles from the kids ( big and small ) this went on until 4.30 when the B.B.Q started where the main course was burgers followed by sausages washed down with gallons of blackcurrnt and orange juice. I have to say the kids were great and the club were delighted to host this youth day and hope to do another next year a massive thanks to all who helped to day THANK YOU THANK YOU Donal Nagle .
