YPM DIRECTORS BLOG Started rehearsal number 1 listening to the original theme music to get us in the mood and discussing the differences between the play and the TV series. It will certainly be a challenge bringing these amazing characters to life. Because they worked together for so many years, a lot of the humour came from the way they looked at and reacted to each other. In this play it is often about what isnt said more so that what is. After all there arent too many fictional characters who have their own Wikipedia biographies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Hacker Commenced with Act 1 Scene 2 and had the usual first rehearsal problems. Didnt take long to work out that my initial set layout isnt going to work.
