**YUMA AIRPORT LAWSUIT UPDATES** One of two trials of the century in Yuma will take place for three days next week, July 23, 24, and 25 in Judge Nelson’s courtroom in Yuma County Superior Court. After two years of waiting while a restraining order has rested in place against Yuma Airport Director Craig Williams (Lame Duck) and the Yuma County Airport Authority, GARZA AVIATION will have their day in court to settle the score involving an alleged fraud where Airport Director Williams attempted to kick Garza off the airport for merely competing with another aviation services provider on the Yuma Airport. The case centers around an incident where CSI Aviation Services came to Yuma International Airport and was getting price gouged. They sought the assistance of the Yuma Airport Director and he allegedly agreed to provide service to CSI, then subcontracted the work directly back to the company that was price gouging them. CSI then sough the assistance of Garza Aviation for maintenance and associated ground handling services that maintenance providers provide all over the United States. Yuma Airport Director Williams and the airport administrative attorney Wayne Benesch then staged an assault on Garza and attempted to bully Garza into a “cease and desist” order to stop him from servicing CSI so the business would revert back to the only other service provider on the airfield. The allegation which dominates the “Special Action” lawsuit set for trial for three days next week is Director Williams giving preferential treatment and favoritism to the only other aviation service provider on the airfield. CSI Aviation, the company which got caught in between the ruckus at the airport scaled back their flights last year; and most recently stopped coming to Yuma all together which is a huge blow to the much inflated “airport economic development” propaganda that Craig Williams repeatedly works into the local media through Joyce Lobeck at the Yuma Sun. Garza attorney Don Engler will provide three days of his legal expertise and finesse including a wealth of facts and expert witness testimony including that of Yuma aviation expert and aviation historian Mr. John Ewing. The airport will argue that Garza is not entitled to provide service to companies like CSI Aviation if it involves parking their aircraft and providing ground handling services like passenger stairs or a ground power unit (GPU). The airport will state those services are reserved for another company on the airfield to perform. Don Engler will argue on Garza’s behalf that Craig Williams is a bully with a clear agenda. Squeeze out the little guy and give the business preferentially to another entity on the airfield. Engler is sure to impress. The trial is open to the public July 23, 24, and 25 from 9am to 5pm in Judge John Nelson’s courtroom, Second Floor of Yuma Superior Court, Division 5. Check out a video below where Airport Director Williams tells the Yuma County Airport Authority Board of Directors that he has set aside $100,000.00 of public money to fight Garza in court; and that it will be expensive for the Garza, but not for the airport. youtu.be/Y2id4RfnHpA Read, Read, Share...
