Ya know, other than a few old farts who were in the 600th Photo Squadron in Nam and some random documents in odd places on the web, there seems to be no official records of the squadron. Even the Air Force Historical Research Centers list of squadrons fails to recognize its existence. I do have some random unit history docs from 66 and 67, but not being able to find much of anything about the unit, other than the photos we took, is depressingly disappointing. Even the USAF Combat Camera group here on FB seems more concerned with reunions* than histories, and the old 600thphotosq.org/ site, which used to be the best source of info, appears to have been abandoned. * Which have absolutely no one I served with, so it would be just a random assortment of strangers whom I do not know, but know each other - no reason to attend. SO, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO RESEARCH AN OLD USAF SQUADRON that even the USAF historical research center just skips over?
