Ya know what makes this day just that much worse? After 10 years with TD Bank (something I was kinda proud of given how easy it is to switch banks), my checking account went haywire while I was stuck up here in the Capital this last 10 days. It was my fault for sure and I got it sorted out but in the meantime, TD Bank has charged me $425 in overdraft fees in just the last 6 days. Thankfully, their Customer Service has decided that I qualify to get $70 back. To be clear, those charges are a third of my rent for July. Again, Ive been with this bank for 10 years as of May this year. I do all of my personal banking with them, and in one week while I was stuck and couldnt come home, theyve charged me more than Ill pay this entire year in ATM fees, and banking fees because of the same overdraft status. So where should I go? Whos got a good bank?
