Ya never know what people are going thru. We should try to have compassion. So proud of Emma Long. Last night she witnessed a desperate young man sitting on the outer ledge of the Toadsuck Bridge. He climbed over the edge and sat down, not holding on, dangling his feet, head down. Watching the rolling current of the dam below him. As Emma drove by him, she grabbed her boyfriends hand and said, Hurry, we hafta pray RIGHT NOW! And they did. ALOUD. As they pulled down to Toadsuck Park, they saw someone, possibly a friend trying to coax him back. Then, a policeman arrived and miraculously the young man climbed back over to safety. HALLELUIAH I read recently about a man who jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge. His lonely, sad apartment was found practically empty. A note was found on the dresser that told of his intentions. He was gonna take the long walk to the Bridge. He said that if ONE PERSON smiled at him, then he wouldnt jump. Heartbreaking. I try to tell my kids to have sympathy for people, sometimes all they need is just a smile. And no matter how terrible, frustrating, stressful, unfair or lives are, someone always has it worse. We are blessed.
