Ya never really hear of metal bands or other genres, having to sell tickets, or paying to play. I guess for the most part, thats just become acceptable in hip hop now days eh? And, Im not hating.., I understand the reasoning behind it.., to a certain extent. But, alot could be avoided if the promoters did their job right, instead of allowing whack artists to buy on, or hustle tickets for a spot just so they can be sure to make money. What ever happened to just wanting to put on a dope show? Im not saying, I am completely against having artists sell tickets, etc. Im just saying, when much more talented/qualified artists, are being shunned because less talented artists are willing to pay for a spot.., thats when I have a real problem with it. Skill/respect etc. should come 1st., IMO
