Yaaaah neh.... This year we were not planning to have Christmas - TopicsExpress

Yaaaah neh.... This year we were not planning to have Christmas service to accommodate brethren who will be going away. Announced on Sunday that this year no service in Christmas... And our pastor, Themba Magongo was so restless about that... He felt the meaning of Christmas is just fading away... He convinced himself that its ok, no service :-) Until at midday on tuesday he called to say I must make a way of telling brethren that there shall be a service and I felt it was a short notice but he said even if it can be only him and his family at church its fine... And I did send out messages at his command. And we had a service today... What I can say is : indeed obedience is better than sacrifice: Imagine, there was an old woman who went to her church today and found them closed, she went to other churches and she found locked doors and as she was looking around she heard voices of worship and she followed the sound and found the church...it was our church, it was opened and she fellowshiped with us👏👏 Oh God! Imagine if we were also closed😱😭 And as if it was enough... An exconvict who was a Muslim before testified today of how he received Jesus by hearing His voice while he was in a cell...and he received Him, Islam couldnt satisfy his longing but Jesus did🙌... Imagine if we didnt have a christmas service today, where were we going to hear this😭 One family, as they were driving to their Christmas plans, they just decided to change direction and came to church and they are so grateful that doors were opened for them. Imagine if doors were closed😭😰 Yaaaah...We indeed thank God for babe Magongos hearing heart! He obeyed and it was all worth it!! It is through His birth that He died and rose again and today we are called children of God. Why not acknowledge His birth in a special way? However, everyday is Christmas...its all about Him everyday. Just that we shouldnt loose it.
