Yall beter pray for Europe - European Parliament elections were distinguished by majority victories by extreme right nationalist parties from France, Denmark and I dont know where else but does it really matter? The Germans are upset and feel that if it had been a German party their whole country would have been treated to cries of N***i and that this kind of extreme right nationalism is destructive of Europe and human rights. Angela Merkel calls this outcome regrettable. The French president is trying to talk to the Front National to get them to abandon some incendiary platforms and ditto in Belgium where the Flemish Nationalists have a very overt and perjoratve anti-Wallon (french speaking Belgian) policy and an appointment with the King who is going to try to speak sense to them. The French news stations are talking about Euroskeptics and Euroskepticism to characterize the growing nationalism and abandonment of pan- European identity and rights. Marie Le Pen - Front National leader made a speech about how the sovereign people have spoken and they want France ruled by the French for the French ( who have been a mix of French Italian, English, Spanish, Portugese, German, Moroccan, Tunisian, Algerian, Polish and Russian for YEARS if not a few centuries). So who are the French really? Meanwhile due to the FACTA ( Financial Accountability and Compliance Treasury Act) many European banks are getting rid of their American customers because of the reporting requirements. Globalization anyone? Seems Coca Cola and Nike are the only organizations able to leap national frontiers in one bound. Good luck to all the rest of us!
