Yall listen up this is lengthy but necessary. I love this piece for the most part because I have been preaching about the dangers of such language from the right (exclusively - lets just keep it real here) for quite some time now. As always, Im being very honest here & you all, race notwithstanding, can take it or leave it. Right-wingers have both defended & shown disdain for such language on my page - the former, unfortunately, has been the greatest response I have received & seen. We cannot say that we need or want to reach out to minorities yet simultaneously express to said minorities that they are slaves to liberalism- its an oxymoron. I may not agree with the tenets of liberalism, however, its an ideology just as conservatism is. I am disturbed by the persons on the right & left who arrogantly deem their political opponents too dumb to know whats good for them. The political arrogance on both sides is glaring. Both sides can argue ideologically & philosophically but when either does in America, their intelligence is automatically insulted - thats a problem - a huge problem. Even more disturbing, is that such slavery labels are only attached to black people/African-Americans & Hispanic persons. I have never seen or heard a white liberal labeled a slave. That alone makes it racial & puts the right in the hot seat. Im going to say this slowly because there have been white, right-wingers who have defended their diatribes based on the fact that there are black conservatives who concur with them & think such language is appropriate, for whatever reason or motive: Im hear to tell you that such black conservatives are very wrong as far as I am concerned & I make no bones about it. Black conservatives, who feed into & buttress the racial biases of some conservative whites are absolutely wrong & Im going to go further & say that some are doing so just to get the attention & support of SOME of you conservative whites. Its hilarious to me that some conservative whites fall into that trap & cheer along. Ill leave it at that, except to say that we have so much work to do on the right. If you feel that I admonish the right more, youd be right. Its because I see our potential & right now & for quite some time, were wasting it. Does nt, teacher, mentor, coach give the harder time to the obedient, compliant child/pupil/student/client or the non-compliant one? Thats all I have to say right now.
