Yay! Exams are over! A few good DVDs Ive seen lately. Coincidentally, their titles all start with an A. 1. Austenland : For all those Jane Austen fanatics like me. A very interesting romantic comedy. Watched it twice already. Can see myself watching it a third time. 2. About Time: Also a romantic comedy. But what struck me most was the father and son relationship that many of us would envy. Will watch it again with my boys (and very possibly husband as well). 3. All Is Lost: Starring Robert Redford ONLY in a one-man show with almost no dialogue. Was going to watch it with my husband but he was busy. So I watched it myself. Didnt realise it was actually a one-man show until after the opening credits. Then I thought, Damn, wasted money for this one. Going to get laughed at by Steve. (My husband always said he felt cheated after watching one-man shows). Sat through the show anyway cos paid money already. Verdict: Quite well done actually. A little slow moving but with some patience, it is quite enjoyable. Most of all, it is very informative and educational about surviving at sea. Watched the 2nd time last night with my son and husband. No one complained about it. A good movie to recommend for those who love sailing and seafaring activities.
