Yay! Nothing broken just bruised up and limping. Kept quiet about the Hey yall watch this! nature of the origin of the injury. The lesson is this...do not assume a yellow jackets burrowed nest is dormant. They are warm and resting comfortably. When struck with a shovel on a cold dark night they will jump out of their tiny black and yellow cots and attack the middle aged plump guy with the shovel. Grateful they followed the flashlight I threw and not me as I tumbled hard to the ground tripping over a stump or my shoes. Sternum and clavicle joint have been moved, but not broken. Yes as usual, Janet was right weeks ago when she said, Why dont you just call the exterminator? So lets recap...starting 2 weeks ago: 6 stings prompting urgent care visit and shots, days later shoulder pains from first bee fall requiring X-rays and chiro, then dr.s visit requiring mri for shoulders (still waiting for appt call yay mission!), then a week later tripping and falling spraining ankle and bruising joints and side and neck from running from second hive...after digging hive up at night. Requiring two days of off the feet bed rest. For those scoring at home... 8-1 Bees. Next year Im getting a bee suit...and a bit more common sense. Hey yall watch them bees run! Im gonna scare em by digging up the hive!!!!! uh oh
