Yeah, this was my generation as kids. Why do kids now a days think theyre so entitled? I blame the parents. If the parents give into everything the kids want and dont teach them that No, you cant have that, or No you cant do that, then the kids are going to act and believe that everything they want, they can have/do because they were never taught no, and thats how a lot of them get in trouble. I see kids, little kids, with I-phones! I didnt get a cell phone until I was in my 30s and then it was a little flip phone FOR MAKING CALLS. (people dont talk to one another anymore, they text, FB, tweet, etc but when was the last time you CALLED someone to TALK to just to say hi, how are you doing?) I still only use my phone for making calls, I dont text, and the only difference between my first phone and my current one, is I have a camera on my phone now because sometimes you need to take a picture of something. My kids didnt have X boxes or PlayStations growing up. I refused to buy them. It was an expensive toy (not to mention the cost of the games!) that I knew they would either grow out of (get bored with) and stop playing after a couple of months, or like some of their friends, spend endless hours in front of the darn thing (homework and real life be damned!). My kids instead, played outside, hung out with friends and had fun. They knew the consequences of their actions. If they made a mistake, they corrected it (if possible) and apologized. Kids today dont do that. They think everyone else is wrong. The world has changed, and not for the better.
