Year 1 Completed! Event 4 has finally finished. I think I have to - TopicsExpress

Year 1 Completed! Event 4 has finally finished. I think I have to applaud the ref and staff the most. We only ended up leaving Northport at 9 or 10pm at night. So it was a late one. However out of this event we finally had two new top teams, NPW vs. Troopers. While one team climbed a tough ladder all season, another team finally got to play more than just a semi final game and actually win the event. While people may only notice the top 4 teams of the event. I have watched almost every game (whether I wanted to or not) but have seen teams like Shock and legacy grown immensely. Shock at the first of the season every game was being 0-5 or not far off, this event, vs troopers was a battle. Ask LeBron James he can say it wasn’t a walk through. For Legacy, while I don’t want to say they less experienced team but in comparison to their counterpart NPW you are the newer Warriors. Yet after watching, the game of Legacy vs NPW shows that each team have learned a great deal over the season. Probably the hardest fought game all season between theses’ two, and one heck of a game to watch. I would like to congratulated Troopers for finally taking 4 events, but winning First place at event 4, followed by NPW in 2nd, Compton Killas in 3rd and Spartans taking 4th. In 3man, we had 1st place OPG Chill, Colchester Chaos in 2nd, Aces and Eights 3rd, and Fredericton Red Legion in 4th. We will post overall season ranks for 5man this week. For those wondering, YES photos will be put up. I’m in school so I have about 2 hours a night to myself. I will be working on them. For the video, we have LEARN a lot, thanks for allowing Event 4 to be the guinea pig. We have learned that laptops can’t be left in the sun because they overheat and shut off. 2) To remember to bring an extra charging cord. Next season we wouldn’t mind having people that are Energetic and like watching the games to give commentary during it. We are looking to figure a way to put both video into one split video, so please bare with the games to go up. Now for overall season. I have passed out Surveys to as many teams as I could for 5man. For those I’ve missed please email us and we will send you the survey to be completed. Most of the questions are how to improve things for next year. While I do love Facebook, sadly not always the correct things get addressed. EPPL has noted from day one that this is a league for players. We’ve invested again and again this season into it. By having photos, upgrading to give game footage, to upgrading pits to have more tables and bigger pit size. Bryan and I are simply the organizer but we will constantly try to make things better to give you a GREAT product. For those that played all the events, we thank-you for the support, we understand paintball is a lot of money. But I hope you found this season cheaper than previous years. We’d also like to thank Empire/Kee Action Sports and Capital City Paintball for their help in getting us paint, prizes and support all season. As well to Dye Paintball for getting the awesome scoreboard system that we have. No more actual towel being thrown or people screaming at the tower to concede a point. To the family at JXP (Brines) this year could not have been completed without your hospitality. I do hope you know how much you have helped this community out! Also for some of the players that don’t know, Jeremy Maillet’s parents (Ron and Susan) have been at each event helping out. I think we owe a major Thank-you to them. Without them 3man would not have run so smoothly as it did. Lastly but certainly won’t be going away is ACPB. Most of players are on this Facebook group. Support local. They have given us some great MVP prizes as well some awesome support all season. For those looking into next year. We are reviewing our surveys. We will have next year information out by 1st of Nov. We have an end of season 5man event; if you want to play and have no team, Post on (Atlantic Canadian Paintball) Facebook group. We can help you find a team. September 21st will be the end of the competitive 2013 season in Atlantic Canada. Oh one side note, we have over 400 followers on the EPPL Likes page.
