Year-in-Review Post #7. Last, but definitely not least, I have had - TopicsExpress

Year-in-Review Post #7. Last, but definitely not least, I have had the privilege of making music throughout the year with some wonderful colleagues and students, all of whom I can count as friends. They inspire me to become better at what I do every time I sit down in the section, get on the podium, or stand up in class, and they make work a joy to come to every day. One big highlight was hearing my SSO colleague Ross Holcombe play John Mackeys Harvest Concerto (granted, from behind) last January. Another was a collaboration with bass trombonist Doug Yeo on last Mays Wind Symphony concert. But in many ways, the real musical high point of the year was an absolutely terrific concert tour with the Whitworth Wind Symphony last March - the music played so well both in and out of concert. It was an absolute blast, and came at a time when I really needed it! I am so blessed and honored to work with these student musicians, who are so often my teachers as well. Happy New Year! (Here is a little treat from last Mays Wind Symphony concert!) https://youtube/watch?v=-0mYJTejqiU
