Years ago I imagined that I would be able to dream up a journey, share about it and people would come. This last trip to Guatemala was just like that. I asked myself, if I could go anywhere right now and do whatever I wanted to do where would I go? The answer was Guatemala and I wanted to write and do art Thus the Guatemala creatives/writers retreat was born. less than 3 months after I created it, people signed up and we were on our way The retreat was wonderfully fun heart opening idea nurturing and better than I could have imagined it Not bad for sketching it out on piece of paper in January Whats the secret? I was totally engaged, but not attached. I said Im going, even if nobody signs up. Ill lead it for me This took off all of the pressure that usually comes with leading a retreat.
