Years ago, I lived in Nashville Tennessee and worked in small a coffee shop near Blackbird Studio. This is the studio where pretty much every great band of over the last decade has recorded their album, Im talking: beck, the white stripes, kings of leon, the red hot chili peppers, paramore.. the list goes on. It was an extraordinary job, as many of the musicians would stop by on their way to work to grab coffee or a bite to eat. We even got to know some of them over time. I actually had plans to go skateboarding with Haley Williams at one point, but this story isnt about me ;) Many of the other baristas I worked with were also musicians. Incredibly talented ones at that, even if their names were not inscribed onto platinum albums on the walls of blackbird. One of these musicians was a young woman named Laurel Lane, she had a beautiful voice and could pick at a guitar like it was nothing. I watched a lot of good musician try to make it in Nashville. It always has struck me as funny, in the world of art, success is not always a direct result of talent. Talent is an ingredient, but so much of it is due to being in the right place at the right time, knowing the right people and so on, and as always, having the resources necessary to create your art at the highest level possible. the details can make all the difference. So now Laurel and her band are ready to make an album, and they need our help. Watch this video, like their page, and if you can, please watch their Kickstarter video as well and donate if you are able :) This girl has well paid her dues. lets get her on that list eh? https://youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dII3QYivJrI
