Years ago, my mother and mother in law went to see Joan Rivers in Atlantic City where we had front row seats. She proceeded to tell the audience that the hookers in AC didnt look like street girls and that you couldnt always tell which girls were hookers just by looking at them. All of a sudden she shouted: Ah ha, here is one right in front of me. Hey, hooker in the red dress, stand up and show the audience what a hooker looks like. Of course, I was wearing a red dress and pearls. I stood up and waved to the audience as my mother laughed and M.I.L. sank into the seat. She ended her show by saying: When you are in the casino and see the hooker in the red dress, smile and be nice to her. She then gave me one of the giant plants on the stage and thanked me for being a good sport. Walking through the casino with the plant was pretty funny. I always smiled when I thought of Joan. She was a force of nature.
