Yeh jawaani hai deewani: So what exactly is defined as fun? Fun is the only word in the dictionary that has different meanings for different people. Chasing your dreams, till you finally catch up to them and live your life that way. Who wouldn’t dream of such a life? Many people will admit that there is a bunny in each of us. And most of us successfully hide it. But then again there is a naina in many of us, Who wants to be satisfied with whatever little happiness it gets. This film has a special place in my heart because somehow there is a part of bunny inside me too. And its in my fate to wander around the world and get memories no one would even dream of. But all this wandering around the world gathering happiness is going to be either memories or be forgotten one day. But while wandering around the world, we should not forget that there will always be someone in a place called home that will miss us the most and care about us and worry about us. Also when I talk about the definition of fun, there is this scholar naina who never experienced the kind of fun bunny and his mates have done. The film connects to the heart because all the four characters have something to say. Bunny, the life of the party, the wandering soul, the dream chaser, the flambouyant guy, who wants to travel to every place in this world. Who starts every new page in his slambook with a destination and a single photo, and when he returns from the trip he has loads of memories with him about that place. Who is so busy wandering around the world, that he misses his father’s funeral. Who is so busy chasing his dream that he doesn’t realize that someone has fallen in love with him, that his friends long for him. Naina, the girl who spent quarter her life studying and now when once she has dared to leave home that she realizes what the meaning of fun is. As she comes closer to bunny and realizes that he is different from her in a lot of ways, she falls in love with him. Aditi, who is the modern, carefree chick, waits very long for the love of her life, and then finally chooses someone whom she remains happy with and karan, who is drunk and gambling all the time, losing money and has no choice but to depend on bunny’s savings all the time. All the songs in this film are very refreshing and have a great timing in their appearance as the film progresses. So finally for the one who does not wish to stop at a place, has to stop and think aboutwhat he wants more and what he needs. That’s where his true happiness lies. Lets say Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is when dynamic meets static and the sparks that fly. Rating: 4/5 stars
