Yellow 1976 VW Westfalia pop top camper bus for sale. Bus is not currently running. The engine has had a lot of work. It ran for many years; however, bus was towed out from our move from CA to WV and caught fire in the engine compartment. It needs some new electrical components and sheathing due to the fire. Thankfully, we had an extinguisher on hand and was able to put the fire out rather quickly and it doesnt seem any major damage was done. The bus was originally being towed because it needs a new starter. We have put thousands of dollars into the bus. It has a brand new pop top canvas and the engine itself has had a lot of work including work on gaskets and heads. The bus sleeps four and rides four. There is a two person bench seat in the back that folds into a two person bed and a two person bed in the pop top. When running the bus drives nicely and is fun for camping and getting peace signs flashed at you:) The bus is from CA. It has rarely been driven on salt roads, so the under chassis is almost completely rust free; however, it has been sitting on our property without running for 2.5 years. We love the bus. We have had it in 47 of the lower 48 states and it was our honeymoon vehicle, so we hate to see it go, but we also hate to see it sit and begin to rust. We would love to give it a good home to someone who will love and care for it and enjoy it like we have. We just dont have the time with three kids to raise to work on it at this time, as well as it wont work for our family anymore as it only safely seats 4. We are asking $1,000 or best offer. The bus will not take much to get it running again and it is a rare vehicle. We would like to stay fairly firm on our price, but something close to what we are asking may be a possibility.
