Yellow Cake Mix, baked according to directions 2 pints sliced and sweetened strawberries Cool Whip, thawed Defrost strawberries. (If you are using fresh strawberries, slice, then sprinkle about ½ cup sugar over them. Let sit in refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes, or until there is plenty of juice.) Bake cake in 13 x 9 pan. When removed from oven, punch holes in cake top with a spoon. Let cool. Pour strawberries and juice over top of cake and down into holes. Reserve a few slices for top of cake. Spread Cool Whip over cake and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight before serving.
