Yes - this is pretty accurate. The towns and cities dams may be full from the late rain last Autumn. However Autumn rain grows very little Winter feed and therefore we needed early spring rain, which we havent got. For us personally: Mum is hand feeding her cows everyday, she has cut the herd from 120 to 43 in the past 12 months due to no feed. If it doesnt rain by Dec she will be forced to sell everything. There will be no cattle. This for us is only the 2nd year into the drought - some guys are facing 3rd and 4th years. I personally dont know how they manage to function everyday - it really does break your heart. We have had about 15ml in the 6months - it feels like it will never rain properly again...
