Yes...God IS Always in the Yes! For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. - 2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV ____________________________________________ On January 8th, we posted a thought that suggested that God is always in the YES, and those of us whove been walking with God for time know that weve gotten some pretty firm NOs along the way. Some have commented on our page; others have seen me in person and engaged in meaningful dialog on our perspective. All of the exchange has been welcomed and beneficial, reminding us that there is safety in a multitude of counsel (Prov. 11: 14) and God has called us to a mutual iron sharpening ministry (Prov. 27:17). So, in answer to the many questions, lets add this to our earlier post: God is holy! Period! And without holiness, no one shall see God (Heb. 12:14)! A believer who lives a willfully disobedient, sinful and self-driven life, while claiming Christ as LORD and SAVIOR, is double-minded and unstable in all their ways! That person should not think that they should ever receive a YES from God! The only thing they should expect the Lord to say to them is REPENT and that is precisely the message He sends to them - over and over again until they turn. The YESs of God are reserved for those who have themselves already said YES to God on the most important issues of their life and faith in Yeshua (Jesus). They have already said YES to the Lordship of Christ, submitting their will to His in every situation. They have already said YES to allowing the Word of God to be the final measure and ruling authority in their life. They have already said YES to swift and total obedience to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit, whispering within them to do this or that. They have said YES to living their lives for the glory of God and not for the praise of man! They have said YES to renewing their minds and pursuing deliverance from the stinkin thinkin that we all learned growing up. Then, having said YES to God, seeking first His Kingdom and righteousness (Matt 6:33), when they ask anything according to His will, He delights to respond with a great big YES. God IS always found in the YES when HE is sought there by a godly, committed, consecrated believer who has already said YES, YES, YES back to Him! Its time for us to grow out of the NO season of our walk in Christ and into the marvelous blessing of the YES. Can anyone say YES and AMEN to that??? - Pastor John Thompson and the Kingdom Life family
