Yes I am on a rant tonight. I was told I was lazy, defiant, rebellious, irresponsible, immature etc. all because my brain works differently. My brain runs super fast sometimes. In class I talked too much, rocked back and forth in my chair, bounced my legs constantly, said hilarious things to my classmates, brain running faster than I could keep up with. I needed more stimulation than the normal classroom was set up to provide. I needed more than what was there. So because its not provided to these students then they get told they are rebellious? Thus destroying who they are? Then by the time I got to high school, I was so beaten down and depressed that I could not function anymore. I could not do the smallest task. So I was threatened even more and was told I was being defiant. Yeah, still not over it. Something has got to change. My neurological difference and executive functioning is who I am. Its my super power.
