Yes, I enjoy sitting in a vehicle in the driveway - TopicsExpress

Yes, I enjoy sitting in a vehicle in the driveway listening/singing to music; I really do. It is a great way for me to release my energy and plus it gives whoever else is in the house their quiet time. I have always done so especially in my childhood. As I was not allowed to listen to secular music, I would escape to one of our vehicles and listen to the radio. I am unsure and unclear as to the reason why the children in my Family were not allowed to listen to what we wanted to. You know, music comes from within ones psyche. There are so many songs that One can relate to on so many different levels. You can feel it even sometimes when you are feeling like nothing at all. Music is the Universal language... For example, Opera. People hear the words sung but may not know the actual meaning. It is the feeling that overwhelms and consumes them as they listen... You dont need to see to feel... Ludwig van Beethoven was an absolutley amazing pianist and composer. His most memorable pieces were actually composed at that point in his life when he had lost his ability to hear. I was just reading his biography and he had lived quite a musically adventurous life. His first music teacher was his Father. At times he was actually brought to tears while taking his lessons. As I read that, it reminded me of me when I was taking my piano lessons as a child as i used to do the same. For me, it was primarily because I found my sheet music too easy and I would always play too fast because I was extremely eager to learn the next song. I would think to myself(I was 8 at the time), why play (say) 5 songs in half an hour when I could play 20? I can play at the proper tempo when the time comes, for example, a recital. I also thought being that my lessons are only 30 minutes long, I wanted to learn as much as possible within that time. Another interesting fact that I read about Bach was that he taught piano to Josephine the daughter of the Hungarian Countess Anna Brunsvik. That fact that he did made me smile because I, myself am Hungarian as well. I am interested in reading further and learning more about Josephine as she was an love interest of Bachs. There was an unsent letter found following his Death, it is called The Immortal Beloved. It is proposed that the intended recipient was actually Josephine. After all this time, James Wright a distinguished composer, has composed, performed and recorded a set of Songs called Letters to the Immortal Beloved. I am quite interested in actually hearing these composites. Studying music history is quite fascinating to me... I actually have a set of Bach(among other Composers) record albums... it has been at least 2 years since I have listened to them. I feel to check out youtube to listen at least one piece of Bachs and I shall do so right now.
