Yes, Im aware that Christ was not born on December 25. Yes, Im aware that December 25th became Christmas because it was the day after the violent pagan holiday Saturnalia and the Christians attempt at reclaiming a day for The Lord. Yes, I am aware that the bible says that pagans cut down trees and adorn them with silver and gold to worship. I will still celebrate Jesus birth today and every day and what that precious gift means to me and everyone on this earth. Im fully on board with taking over any pagan holiday and giving another reason to celebrate the atoning sacrifice of His birth, death and resurrection. The bible also says immediately after telling of those that will adorn the trees for worship to not be afraid of them for they have no power, they are dead trees. I did not cut down a tree, I assembled a plastic decoration. I do not worship my tree shaped decorations, I simply like the sparkle and light it adds to a dreary, wet, cold season. Merry Christmas everyone!! Thank You Lord Jesus for coming to earth, living as a man to save us and for going to prepare a place for us to join You in Your Fathers house one day.
