Yes, Pope Francis is correct. Communism -- the common ownership of all resources -- was an original Christian idea. The New Testament is very clear about this. Karl Marx did not invent it. And worst, the communists -- Marx, Lenin, Mao Tse Tung, et al -- polluted it with their doctrines of violent revolution, dictatorship and government ownership of all resources. That is why communism became as evil and destructive as capitalism, socialism, feudalism and monarchy. Christianity, in its essence, is an ideology of Love, of sharing, of loving and living for God and fellow men. That is the meaning of the Cross. Christianity is against greed, selfishness, injustice, materialism, violence, domination and exploitation -- the very foundation of monarchy, feudalism, capitalism, socialism, communism and imperialism. Christians are being called to be true and faithful to LOVE. To be a true Christian is to be a Love Revolutionary, to establish a Kingdom of God on Earth.
